Attention High Intermediates: Gear up for Season 1 of Proshot's Fantasy Pickleball League
Four Fantasy Team Managers will each draft 7 players to their team, forming a fantasy Pickleball roster consisting of 4 doubles teams. Season 1 will run on Monday nights at 7pm from July 14th - August 11th
Here are the details:
Rosters
- The 4 managers will each have a roster consisting of 4 doubles teams
- The first round picks will partner with their team manager to form “Team A”
- 2nd and 3rd round picks will form “Team B”
- 4th and 5th round picks will form “Team C”
- 6th and 7th round picks will form “Team D”
- Your draft position determines where you will start week 1
- Teams will be shuffled week to week in the following manner:
- Week 1: Lineups will be set by draft position
- Weeks 2 and 3: A/B - A/B, C/D, C/D
- Week 4 : A/B - A/C - B/D - C/D
- Week 5 (Playoffs): Original Lineup.
Format
- Each week, all three teams will play against each other. Group play consists of 1 game straight to 15.
- After Group Play ends, your team and the team you are playing against will convene onto 1 court to battle in Proshot’s FANTASY FRENZY. This is played similar to a dream breaker in MLP with some subtle differences
- FANTASY FRENZY: 1 game to 21 (win by 2), rally scoring, no switching sides after points scored and no scoring freeze! Unlike a dream breaker, which is a singles format, Frenzies will be played as doubles.
At the end of the Frenzy, the team with the most wins between Group Play and the Frenzy wins the match. Since you play every team each week, your team will have 3 total matches. If you won all 3, your team record is 3-0.
Substitutes
- In the event a league participants is in need of a sub at any point, let the front desk know and Proshot will find you a sub.
Finals
- Week 5 will be playoff and finals night.
- The team with the most team wins will square off against the team with the least amount of wins. The teams with the 2nd and 3rd most points will square off.
- Winners of the semi finals will square off in the Gold Medal Match. Losers will square off in the Bronze Medal Match.
- Head to Head games in medal matches will be best out of 3 to 11, win by 2. Frenzies will be played straight to 25.
- Each Member of the Gold Medal winning team will be awarded $25 in prize money in the form of club credits
