PROSHOT Pickleball FANTASY PICKLEBALL LEAGUE (Advanced) 5 WEEKS Season 1 : Thursdays 4/25 - 5/23

Proshot is excited to announce the launch of our latest league creation: Fantasy Pickleball League: Advanced

Four Fantasy Team Managers (Dan, Dean, Andy and Steve) will each draft 7 players to their team, forming a fantasy Pickleball roster consisting of 4 doubles teams. This is a 5 week league with weekly prize money. Prior to league play, there will be a “LIVE DRAFT NIGHT on Friday April 19th at 8pm. Players will get to experience what it’s like to be drafted and also make a draft pick! League nights will be every Thursday at 8pm starting April 25th and ending on May 23rd (Championship week)

Here are the details:

The Draft

  • Draft Night is at 8pm, Friday, April 19th. BYOB
  • Draft Type: Snake
  • Draft order: TBD.
  • Team managers will make their first and second round picks.
  • Players selected in the second round will make their team’s third round pick. Then, the third round picks will make the fourth round picks, and so on.
  • 28 total players can register for the league
  • Every player is to bring $25 in cash to the draft. This money goes into the prize pot.

Rosters

  • The 4 managers will each have a roster consisting of 4 doubles teams
  • The first round picks will partner with their team manager to form “Team A”
  • 2nd and 3rd round picks will form “Team B”
  • 4th and 5th round picks will form “Team C”
  • 6th and 7th round picks will form “Team D”
  • Your draft position determines where you will start week 1
  • Teams can be shuffled week to week but players can only move up or down 1 level. For example: A player who was on Team C week 1 can be moved to Team B or down to team D,  but can never be moved to Team A. A player on Team A (the first round pick) can only play on Team A or Team B. A player on Team D can only play on Team D or Team C. Teams cannot change their lineups within the same night, only week to week.

Format

  • To start the night, A teams will go against each other and C teams will square off against each other.  1 game straight to 15. Then, B and D teams will follow.
  • After the B’s and D’s are finished, the entire team will compete together in a FANTASY FRENZY. This is played similar to a dream breaker in MLP with some subtle differences
  • FANTASY FRENZY: 1 game to 21 (win by 2), rally scoring, no switching sides after points scored and no scoring freeze! Unlike a dream breaker, which is a singles format, Frenzies will be played as doubles.
  • As an example, let’s say Dan’s team is playing Andy’s team. After the A through D teams complete their 1 game to 15, they’ll convene onto one court. The A teams will square off in the frenzy for 4 total points. Then the B’s come on for 4 points, followed by the C’s then D’s. They’ll continue this rotation until a team has reached 21.
  • All four teams play each other each night. Each individual player will play a total of 3 games to 15 plus 3 frenzies
  • As a team, 15 total games will be played each night. (12 head to heads and 3 frenzies). The team with the most total wins receives $160 in prize money ($20 a person). If there is a tie, point differential will be the tie breaker.

Missing Players

  • In the event a team member can’t make a league night, the opposing team will select someone on your roster to fill that spot. Because A’s & C’s play at the same time and B’s & D’s play at the same time, the opposing team must select your substitute from a team that isn’t playing.
  • For example: Dan’s team is going against Andy’s team and Dan is missing a player  from his B team. Andy’s team will select someone from Dan’s A team to fill the void. The player Andy’s team selects for Dan’s team will also take the missing player’s spot in the Frenzy. An A team player can sub for B and vice versa. A C team player can sub for D and vice versa.

Finals

  • Week 5 will be playoff and finals night.
  • The team with the most team wins will square off against the team with the least amount of wins. The teams with the 2nd and 3rd most points will square off.
  • Winners of the semi finals will square off in the Gold Medal Match. Losers will square off in the Bronze Medal Match.
  • Head to Head games in medal matches will be best out of 3 to 11, win by 2. Frenzies will be played staright to 25.
  • Each Member of the Gold Medal winning team will take home the weekly prize pot of $20 each, plus an additional $20 will be applied to your account in the form of club credits. Total team winnings of $320!
